Terms of Use

Effective July 27, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and New Game Plus ("we") covering your use of the New Game Plus app. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. They also serve as the end-user licence agreement for the app. If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard EULA also applies; where the two conflict, these terms govern between you and us.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use New Game Plus. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the app with a parent or guardian's permission.

New Game Plus Pro subscription

• New Game Plus Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription: monthly (US $4.99) or yearly (US $29.99). Exact local pricing is shown in the store's purchase sheet before you confirm.
• Where offered, new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial at no charge; any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when a paid period starts.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account (or Google Play account) at purchase confirmation, or at the end of the free trial if you don't cancel first.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel any time in your device's store subscription settings (iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Already subscribed on this store account? Use Restore Purchases in the app.
• Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through, under its policies (for the App Store, see reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, see your order history).

We may change the price of a subscription. Any change applies from your next renewal, and the store will tell you before it takes effect and give you the chance to cancel.

What Pro unlocks

Pro unlocks the campaign past level 5, photo/barcode/voice/search food logging, GPS gym check-in, the automatic sleep, screen-time and step quests, and the hero forge. The free tier remains playable indefinitely.

Some features depend on your device. The sleep and screen-time quests use Apple's Screen Time frameworks and are available on iPhone only; they are not part of the Android build.

Your account & data

The app creates an anonymous account to back up your save. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and all synced data any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or by requesting deletion here.

Because the account is anonymous, we cannot recover a save for you if you lose access to the device it was created on. Please keep this in mind.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows, no attacking or overloading our servers, no automating or tampering with the game to manufacture rewards, and no using the app where doing so would distract you from safety-critical activities (like driving).

Virtual items

Gold, ore, energy, gear and other in-game items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you rather than owned. They may be adjusted or reset as part of game balancing, and they end when your account does.

Ownership

The app, its artwork, game design, and code are ours or our licensors'. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use, as permitted by the rules of the store you got it from. Your health logs are yours.

Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Sensor-based tracking (steps, screen time, location) is approximate and can be wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

App Store terms

These terms are between you and us only — not with Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are solely responsible for the app and its content.

• Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for addressing any claim that the app or your use of it infringes intellectual property rights, fails to conform to legal requirements, or gives rise to product liability or consumer protection claims.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you. Google is likewise a third-party beneficiary with respect to the Google Play version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and any right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

Changes & termination

We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue features; material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, where required, flagged in the app. You can stop using the app at any time; we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
